www.FFAcoach.com - This is what dedication looks like... Arturo Leyva turns 50 years old this year. He is a professor at FIU and at 46 started boxing training with us. Then at 48, he decided to pursue a dream of his and fight a professional boxing fight. People thought he was crazy - but he trained hard and did it... and won! But it wasn’t out of his system... his goal was to win the Colombian National Title. Two years later, he won the title via KO! At 8-0, and almost 50 years old, he did what few people half his age and with a lifetime of training are able to accomplish. But even more impressive, he had an almost complete bicep tear his title fight - and fought anyways! Now he got the bicep reattached - and he’s still training! His new goal is to secure the South American title at 50 years old. And I believe he will accomplish it. Dan Kennedy says that people prefer good excuses over good results - and I find that true. If you took an average, people tend to give excuses rather than do what is necessary to achieve the results. I’m too old... my knee is messed up... I’m too busy... etc etc etc. This man is now training with his arm immobilized because he just had his bicep reattached. Basketball coaching legend John Wooden always said, regarding injuries, “Focus on the things you can do, not on what you can’t do...”. Arturo is focusing not on what he can’t do - but on what he can do. If he can do it - why not you? This guy is inspiring me and motivation is pretty much my full time job! If you’re from south Florida and are reading this and had a goal of getting your black belt and fell off the wagon - message me your phone number and let’s get back on. Arturo was 46 years old when he started training with us - you can jump back in too. If it’s about money, msg me and let’s see what we can do. Feb 29 is a leap year, good excuse for a sale. I want to have more “come back” success stories like Arturo’s.
