Those were 3 Nishiki Kamuro cakes from 76 pro line. Its a very unique effect everyone watching loved them as well.

I don't have as much. 14, 500 gram, 30 -200 gram cakes, candles, strobes and 246 shells. My finale has almost 275 salutes and 6- 500 gram cakes. Hand fire for fun in the beginning then I bought a cheep 12 q firing system to fire the rest. I'm still working on it for Saturday show.

That's going to make for a real nice show! We hand fired last year due to necessity lol I forgot the fuseing plan at home. We had so much doing it we did it again this year!

john walters I did a small show this year for like 650 bucks. I uploaded a video of it on my channel check it out sometime if you get a chance. It was mostly 200g and 500g cakes with some salutes and Excalibur shells

Thanks man! Yeah it was perfect for shooting no rain in site and probably a 2 mph wind to carry the smoke away. A lot of other pyros weren't so lucky. I seen a lot of people getting rained out.

Thanks Bruce! I use a canon vixa hr r700. it has a Fireworks mode to film in so it's always in focus. The only down side is the lens is to magnified. I set the camera at the bottom of the dune for filming and can't get everything. I bought a wide angle lens and tested multiple times but it just kills the color of fireworks. If you have a lot of room to set the camera back far enough then it works really well.

john walters I really dig my alphafire 7 and kingdom sequencers... The issue has been I tried talons and those suck. Then ematchs without the proper connectors so I made my own which work well. This yr will be firewire and moduals placed about 2ft off the ground. Its a good entry level system to start with. What I need is a Cobra and like 40 50 mods to do the pyro musicals I want to songs like Rush 2112, I refuse by 5 finger death punch. Stuff no one does.😀

I think I'm going to invest into a cobra for next year. To bad it cuts into the fireworks budget. I have another buddy that has a cabin on an inland lake that want us to do a show. The only way to shot there would be to strip down a pontoon and and sheet it then fired wireless. Your right on the musicals it almost gets boring after a while watching them due to the same music all the time. Some nice hard ROCK would spice it up for sure!

john walters Ive been in that area before. Pretty area! Most have NO idea all the work it take for 10mins of fun. Best part for is all ohhhs and ahhhhs. People laughing clapping just having a good time. How it should be😀 As pyros we have that responsibility to put on the best show we can.

Oh for sure the reactions of people is almost as addicting as the pyro itself. We definitely have to stay on the up and up learning from mistakes and find new tricks also finding the best products to shoot. We try to get better every year.
