Cohn was an analyst on a 49ers report that aired where I live a few years ago. Everything on it except for Grant’s spot was a puff piece extolling how great the team was. I was surprised he was on the program because of his critical views of the team. Needless to say he was removed from the show the last couple years. I missed him and his views because they mirrored my own gripes with the running of the team. I discovered him on KZbin this season and can once again hear his unvarnished opinions.

It had a nice looking female host and she would announce at the end of the program a short segment from a Sports Illustrated Reporter (you) and ask what you expected to happen that week. You were pretty blunt at times! It was great! 👍

​@thisguy8373 I've been saying this very thing for so long. Saleh is a great start, but I've seen fans saying, "we're back." They act like Saleh is bringing that 2019 defense with him. Sorenson was bad but let's not pretend the players weren't equally bad if not worse. Hello Devondre Campbell. Many of today's fans are cool with just being relevant and have not experienced true greatness. An entire generation of fans never saw us win a chip, so they don't understand the standard that some of us expect. They might as well be Bears fans. This Cyrus guy is the perfect example. He's only 26 which means he doesn't even remember Garcia, Owens, and Mooch. Let alone the Young or Montana years. It's great Cyrus is coming around but sadly his generation doesn't see it.

Its great that this guy is coming around but sadly there's an entire generation of Niners fans who never saw real greatness. They have become okay with just being relevant and "in the mix." Anyone who saw any of our chips has an expectation for this team and it has not been met yet. Everything else is just excuses. Grant's critical approach is appreciated because regardless of what Deebo says, this has not been the best team and there is room to be better.

Grant is the Stephen A of 49ers beat writing/analysis/reporting and that rubs people the wrong way. The people who have issue with him are the 49ers "can do no wrong" fans who feel the need to "defend" the 49ers and the players he talks about. Lombardi imo is overly positive. I think both are good for the fan base and at the end of the day its a different perspective for something you might not have thought about. Do I think Grant is wrong sometimes? Yes. Cough Kellen Mond. But i think Grant's criticisms are also warranted. If you don't like it, then prove him wrong. And its true of any criticism anyone gets. Objectively look at it and ask yourself if what he is saying is true or not. If it is true, then fix it. Its called improving and silencing the critics.
