There's a whole lot of speculation here by people who are NOT in the negotiating room. TJ doesn't know what oether teams would ACTUALLY offer Aiyuk. Even if some execs from other teams told him this, they're just blowing smoke. And yeah, a crappy team with only a few stars might give Auyuk the bag, but then he's playing the rest of his career on a garbage team, toiling in obscurity. If he stays and takes a pay cut, and then wins a title, thqat does a lot more for his brand then if he leaves, earns a few more million on a team that goes nowhere. Not to mention the fact that this is just his salary. This doesn't even factor in endorsement money, which is definitely better if you win a title. Bottom line, go watch Jerry Mcguire and see the scene where Cuba gooding gets his hUGE offer at the end that moves him to tears. It's around 2 million a year. I know there's been a lot of inflation since then, but if you're asking me to feel bad for a guy who's upset about the difference between making a boat load of money compared to a moderately bigger boat load of money, forget about it.

Aiyuk made Aiyuk an all pro. The hc is not working on drills after prwctice with aiyuk. Shannahan couldnt scheme up anything in tge superbowl. Niners had plenty of opportunities and had much better skilled position players than chiefs. Aiyuk, Deebo, kittle were completely shut out in that game wven when we only needed 10 yards to get in fg range. One of the things you do in a negotiation is have in your mind a price you wonʻt go above (or below) and are willing to walk. Were I doing the Niners negotiation, my "final" offer to BA would have been a bit less than that number. BA is asking far, far more than Iʻm willing to pay, so thatʻs just not going to happen. By making him wait to this point, he may find a willingness to lower his demands, but that doesnʻt happen until heʻs ready. Then when he is ready to come down and I have a feel for what that is, THEN I sweeten our "final" offer a bit. What that does is give BA the feeling that he got something of a "win". Itʻs important in negotiations that both sides give a bit and also feel like they got something of a win at the end.

Missing the point here. BA is slated to make 14 mill. The market says 30 mill. 6 year deal for 150 mill. Now prorate that deal because he's asking for an extra 14 mill THIS YEAR.
