You know it's funny, nobody thought B.A. was "elite" until Purdy started playing. Deebo was also "just a runner" and him and Kittle both were just "YAC guys" with Jimmy. Purdy is elevating everyone.

Ironic how the Jimmy-hate comes out from 49er "fans" who complain about Purdy-hate. Brock has surpassed Jimmy, but there were a lot of highlights for Jimmy. Plenty in just one incredible 2019 Wk14 Saints game - one of the best games in 49er history. In fact, in 2019 I recall Jimmy throwing 3 beautiful deep passes that were over 50 yards by air. (How many 50+ yarders did Brock throw this past excellent year? Zero.) And Jimmy's 10 games in 2022 (7-3, with 6 blowout wins), leaving the team playoff bound, resulted in lots of ELITE stats that people seem to forget. Not saying he was better than Brock. But Jimmy had a lot of success and plenty of highlight reel plays.
@Based_investor7 ай бұрын

@@rhmayer1not ever in his career has Jimmy been able to throw the ball 50+ yards IN THE AIR. He may have had some 50 yard completions after the catch but not once did he ever throw the ball 50 yards in the air down the field. He never had the arm (not many QBs do) nor the deep ball accuracy

Talking about the 49ers and Purdy generate a lot of views. I've heard more than one youtube mention it (for example, QB School videos on Mahomes or Josh Allen get 20K in a week, Purdy's video has 50K views after a day), even Rich Eisen said it, they get a lot more views and engagement on anything 49ers. The negative stuff draws even more reactions. The problem is they keep running out of things to say. They're now talking about "hand size". Amy Trask doesn't know who Purdy even is, but she's doing an NFL related podcast that no one noticed, so she needed a negative quote about him to get attention.

What people seem to not realize is that Brock Purdy is not so much an individual contributor like Lamar Jackson - a freak athlete that single-handedly takes over a game. Instead, Brock Purdy is a FORCE MULTIPLIER. He ENHANCES not only his teammates' performance (enabling career BEST performances from CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kittle - all achieving 1,000+ yard seasons), but he even enhances and brings out the career best of Kyle' Shanahans play-calling. Lamar is an incredible individual performer but there's a limit to how effective that can be in a TEAM sport. It's not that Lamar isn't a force multiplier/team enhancer. It's just not his specialty, while it IS Brock Purdy's specialty.

Win or lose, the future is real bright for this Niners team with Brock at the helm. And before the haters come here and say "Its because of the people around him, the system this, that." no its not, there's something special here, statiscally, Brocks bad games are Jimmys best, before Brock, Deebo was overrated, Aiyuk wasn't "elite" Kittle was in Kelces shadow, oh but now that they have a good qb and he's putting up better numbers than most qbs this season, the niners are all finally recognized as elite just to throw dirt on Purdy's name? I hope they win the Superbowl and beat Mahomes to shut the mouths of people who really don't know ball.

Thanks for sharing. Purdy is why 9ers will win the Super Bowl. This kid's football IQ is off the charts. Specifically, his decision-making process. Sure, it takes him a half to get it. But second half of any ball game is his. And the Chiefs will not be ahead far enough for KC to win and endure the 2nd half of Purdy pounding. Plus, the 9ers team is far superior to the chiefs this year. 9ers are more complete, rounded, and balanced. I like Mahomes, but Mahomes magic is going to run out. This Super Bowl, 9ers are going to win. By 10+. Purdy is potentially the next Brady. Only way Chiefs win is if Purdy gets hurt, if Purdy goes down. Purdy's unlike any other qback today. He makes correct in-play decisions, doesn't panic, doesn't make catastrophic mistakes. He may fall, but he doesn't lose his confidence in himself and his team. But most importantly doesn't lose it in himself. The best thing about Purdy is he doesn't have an ego or a chip on his shoulder. He doesn't feel he has anything to lose or prove because he's Mr. Irrelevant. That doesn't matter to him. He just goes out and plays. He just bees himself. And he knows his ability and IQ like no one else does. And that's all that matters to him, because that's all that does matter. His team knows him and knows who he is and what he can do. All this is why he's dangerous. I feel for Reid and the Chiefs. It is impossible to prep for a qback mind like Purdy's because he makes the right decisions during the play. Reid the and the Chiefs defense could have the right and perfect D called, but Purdy will masterfully dissect it like he did the Lions. And the Lions D was no slouch. That's what makes Purdy and the Niners dangerous. Plus, the Niners individual skill talent is exception and better than the Chiefs and key positions. The only thing the Chiefs can do to survive and compete is have and execute an exceptional offensive game plan and limit number of touches Purdy has. Otherwise, Chiefs are in trouble. Chiefs can't make any mistakes. Niners can cause they'll have the ability to recover. Forgot one thing. Purdy's got wicked confidence because he's insanely accurate with his passes when and where he decides to throw. He's the epitome of throwing guys open, a great timing passer. His anticipation is off the charts because of the team's chemistry. This will be the Niners 1st Super Bowl win since Young. It's gonna be great.

People be hating and thinking Brock is all YAC, but he has the most 20+ yards passes and 40+ yard passes this year, as you see here, most of those 20+ yard passes were tackled after the catch so it's all passing yards and YAC is minimal.

The 49s have a real All-American quarter back. Not a hate monger of America like Kaepernick, I am so glad they got rid of that jerk who disrespected these countries heroes.

Man o hope they get it done for my own fandom but more importantly for Brock and all the vets on this team that don’t have a SB yet… Do it for gore as well. Still pissed he didn’t get a SB
