This cover single handedly got me in the dead. For the first couple of years I didn't even know it was a cover. I just liked BPB, then finally looked into the album it came from and that was that. Been listening and going to shows ever since. Life changed for the better imo.

Great version of one of my favorites- worked Cherise into one of my daughter's name. Appreciating this version, and at 36, my amazing school teacher daughter also loves this version 💕.

I already loved this song. Certainly my favorite Jerry song by far- but Will gives it a sparkle! Love his voice and it fits so well into this song. Definitely my favorite from this album, and that's a high bar.

The version of this song is so amazing. I love the original but this one is amazing as well. It takes my heart and soul on such a magical ride. The story, vocals, instrumentation... Beautiful, tasteful, and so well done.

The song is a beautiful retelling of the film, Black Orpheus, which itself is a retelling of the mythical love between Orpheus and Eurydice. The film is more than worthy to seek out. This cover is wonderful.

this is an exceptional cover. Dare I say the vocal clarity really makes it stand alone. I'm blown away. I'd pay for an album of covers of this caliber. I'm afraid to listen to the others on this album as this is sooo good. It may be equal to the original and that's saying something. Would really love to hear DSO do this.

It's interesting that he chose to mimic the original studio arrangement, and his vocals seem to lean on Robert Hunter's unique inflections. I like his voice, but I think a sparser arrangement that emphasized the vocals and lyrics would have been a smarter choice.

He has done a lot of covers, 3 albums worth, in fact. One of those albums is called "The Brave and the Bold", with Tortoise as the backing band. This song could easily fit on that album. In fact, listening to this, I'm wondering if Tortoise is the backing band on this song.
