Just in case you were wondering about the lip sync, this is from Wikipedia: "By Bossanova, the band had developed a severe aversion to recording music videos, and Francis refused to lip-sync to them. For example, in the "Here Comes Your Man" video, both Black and Deal open their mouths wide instead of mouthing their lyrics. According to the record label, this became one of the reasons that Pixies never achieved major coverage on MTV."

Here from The Pillows, a Japanese rock band heavily inspired by this group. In fact, one of their best songs is called 'Kim Deal', and they use 'Here comes your man' in their song 'Back Seat Dog'. I definitely recommend them for some real cultural exchange between iconic bands.

When I heard this song as a teenager, the riff just seemed silly to me, but I was also in a very different place when it comes to guitar playing, I was going through my virtuoso phase so the simplicity of a riff like this just felt flat. The older I get and more I listen, this riff easily moves into my top 5 favorites. It's playful, driving, a little bluesy, and dressed in the traipsing of surf rock sensibility. Joey's musical palate is rich and seemingly evergreen, their new stuff is still pretty damn good.
