I had a friend of mine copy this video ( she is an editor for a local news channel ) she copied this video and went over it in super slow motion... I watched it myself...the second deer was never hit...even when 4b slowed it down it was still in a somewhat fast paced dash it was hard to tell,but in super slow motion the hit deer flung the arrow in the air... Say what you will...it was all in the difference between angles... Great shot...when will you and I go hunting together...lets set a time for 2019 season in Ohio...

Not an ethical shot since there was another deer beside the one you shot and is now injured. You do not mention looking for the injured deer.

@4BOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Seigneurie there’s a difference between my angle and the camera angle. It’s deceiving. The arrow never even penetrated the second deer and I confirmed this upon editing the video. Please read the other comments below where I explain this in further detail. After looking back on this hunt, I can easily say that it was a very ethical shot, considering the only deer I shot was recovered in about 50 yards in less than 10 minutes.

I know also you are a fan of the slick tricks but have you looked at the physics tests done by grizzly stik? Showing how two bladed, single bevel broad heads don't give that 'smack' sound when entering a target, and slice more than pushing in. The single bevel causes a spin inside the animal, matched to the helical vanes. I'll never do mechanical again, even though they all work well.

I've never hunted, but have a question from that perspective. Once you hear the animal is down, why not start looking for it while it's still making noise? I imagine that would make it easier to find.
@4BOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Not very often do you hear an animal go down. It’s not good to take up tracking an animal if it’s not completely expired. We track blood trails to find our animals. That’s pretty much the standard for everyone.

Why aren't flags used( the wire ones with the little flag on them) when tracking? It would seem to be a big help as you can judge which way the deer is moving, The last spot you found evidence the deer was there if you lose the trail? They can be picked up after your hunt is successful.
@edwardenglish15197 жыл бұрын
It really looked like you got a pass thru and got two doe. Have you ever tried Peroxide in a spray bottle to track blood on wet ground? It will foam up white and you can drop a marker at the spot.

Then don't bait the title of your videos for views. Makes people dislike your vids. The camera was about 2 feet from you and the shot looked about 20-25 yards. You can say the second deer was clear of the shot but the video doesn't lie. It was an unethical shot and you can't do stuff like that if you hope to grow your channel and gain respect from viewers. Good luck
@4BOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
bbddalton lol you obviously haven’t read the rest of the comments on this video have you? Do you think I’m worried about people disliking my videos? Absolutely not, because I’ve already gained it. The respect comes from the shot I put on the animal, and how humane and ethical the shot was. Nothing about that shot was “unethical,” and you’re right, the camera doesn’t lie. It didn’t lie when at the end of the video I only had one deer laying in front of me proving that the shot was ethical. Also, pay attention to the “?” On the name of the video. I wasn’t claiming it as two with one arrow, I was simply leaving an enticing title. You or anyone else isn’t going to watch a video that has a non intriguing title and thumbnail. As far as I’m concerned, being the creator, I can title videos however I’d like. Lol and if you don’t like my content, then unsubscribe and or quit watching. It’s not going to hurt my feelings any.

One of the first things you learn in order to pass the test to earn your license is to be sure of what is beyond your target. To each their oun, but in my opinion, this was an unethical shot. It's hard to tell though. And I have no clue about any other state, but in Ohio a deer must be tagged before shooting another deer. Anyway, congrats on the doe, and happy holidays!

Lyric Derbin lol thanks bud. That’s what I love about living in Texas, you can tag out in one morning, jump out and tag them all. I love what you guys do as a fellow bow hunter but I couldn't watch your bobcat video, even the thumbnail.. and the reason is because I had found a bobcat cub about 10 years ago and raised it as a house pet. It was the sweetest, affectionate animal ever. Like a mix of a cat and a dog. Jingles was his name and he was even good with other animals, babies and car rides though he liked to wrestle. I'm glad you guys didn't shoot the housecat trying to get into your blind. It would have reinforced the stereotype the rest of the world has of Texas. I would personally love to live there but when I mentioned that to some local non hunter friends, they thought I was being sarcastic that I would love to move to Texas for the hog hunting and gun laws..
@4BOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
I understand your point of view, but from the management and conservation standpoint, bobcats have to be harvested as well.

4B Bowhunting Outdoors I’m not calling you a liar man. Just calling what I see. I’ve watched enough of your stuff and follow you on your Instagram to know if you messed up, you’d admit it! One hell of a doe though man! Big sucker! I got 2 about that size already in the freezer. Good hunting!

It cleared both deer because the arrow can not just go through one and go up in the air like that
