I just recently bought this same one, before I seen this review. Based on my testing with it, the manufacturer did make improvements to this drone. The arms are a ton stiffer and don't move once you put them in the correct position.

There is screws on the arms, use the screwdriver it comes with & tighten all the arms before flying..........
@andycarr5876 Жыл бұрын

@keitharoo19622 жыл бұрын
I have one of these and as you said, the arms do not lock in place; however, yours seems to be way more loose than mine was. Shaking mine doesn't move the arm. I have also found that tightening the screws on the bottom of the quad around the leg mounts helped to stiffen things up a bit. Thanks for the review! Well done!

Thanks for the video. I have this drone. It comes with a mini screwdriver. Simply tighten the screws for the legs and they stay in place. It does seem to drift a lot, but I didn't expect much for the price. I think it's ok for starting out. Cheers!

@@RDsRCReviews I don't know that it's something that needs fixing. I don't think you would have had the problem with the arms if the screws had been tightened, I know the arms stay in place on mine.

Good look at it Ryan, this quad seemed to have a decent working optical flow camera and front camera for a toy grade quadcopter. I have come across the odd folding quad that had a loose arm, but all it usually happened to be is a loose screw for that arm or arms. Checking and screwing them tight usually rectifies the issue i found.

Appreciate the review. Being a first time owner or a drone I have a minor suggestion, it would have been helpful to be able to see what you were doing on the controller. Thank you for the review.
@RDsRCReviews Жыл бұрын
That's a good suggestion but that would be extremely difficult to film. I'm not even sure how I would film that and sync it up correctly. Possibly it could be achieved with a tripod but that would require that I don't move around which would be very difficult do while flying.
@slp-mu6uj Жыл бұрын
@@RDsRCReviews I see. I may be simplifying this too much. I thought you were wearing a gopro and that I was seeing what you were looking at. My only thought was that I would have been able to see the controller if it was held slightly higher so the controller would be visible in the bottom portion of what you were looking at. Having said that I realize it probably would make it difficult to work the controls if you held it up higher. Again, I do appreciate your review, I did learn a lot about the drone itself.
@RDsRCReviews Жыл бұрын
@@slp-mu6uj that would be a very awkward and difficult way to hold the controller that high and I'm sure I would I naturally move it out of the field of view and it would also block the view of the drone. If you look at the other drone channels you'll see that no one does this because it is too difficult to film.

@RDsRCReviews10 ай бұрын
I'm not sure how I can assist you. This isn't a GPS drone. They are not easy to fly. All you can do is practice and that will take a lot of time or get a GPS drone which will be super easy to fly but they are a lot more expensive. I'm thinking you might be under the impression that these toy drones are easy to fly like the gps drones you see on TV which isn't the case. Best of luck!
@RDsRCReviews10 ай бұрын
Also I forgot this drone had optical flow so it should hold position using the downward facing camera though it won't always work great. You can't be too high or too close to the ground and there has to be adequate lighting or it won't work. If you are outside and it's windy then it won't work well because the motors aren't powerful enough to overcome the wind to hold position.
