Beautiful video! Looks like it's a bit annoying to calibrate each time before taking off. Also, I would stick to your recommendation and make sure to get the heli with the proper mode-2 remote control. I will also mention that the disadvantage in these helis (the ones that have the 2 side motors for the left/right bank/roll) is that motors soak more energy than servos. I've noticed how the helicopter start to loose some altitude once the battery is less than 50% and these extra motors kick in. I also think it makes this helicopter less resistant to wind, though all coaxial helis are not quite flyable in any wind.

In any case, this could have been such an excellent "first RC helicopter", only if they provided it with proper controls... what a shame. 😕

You are absolutely right about the shortcomings of these types of coaxial helicopters that use thrust from tail rotor and side fans to bank. However, they are slow enough to be flown by novice RC pilots indoors. Only if they had proper controls on the TX...

Great review. Seems like a nice little heli for the price. However, the idea that mode 1 is "incorrect" and mode 2 is "correct" is, like many things, just a matter of opinion or convention in some parts of the world. There are those that would argue it's the other way round. For example, in the UK, we drive on the left, in the US on the right. Obviously, it's you lot who drive on the wrong side! 😉

Hi. Why do you say _"the control is not correct"_ ??? All 3,5ch are like this. This 4,5ch, is a *MODE 4* and not a MODE 2. I got one 4drc 4d-m5 like this, and you are lucky. Your transmitter (pcb/connection) are not like mine. It's very easy to modify the connections on your radio. ps: Sorry for my bad english.
