it's a good idea to turn off all lamps when defending a building - makes it harder for attackers to see you and prevents them from exploding due to a stray bullet or explosive.

if im not mistaken crytek said even when the lamps are off you can still shoot it for a explosion due to the fact that the oil is still in the lamp

But on the contrary, when you are the first to the wellspring and have to hunker-down, shoot all the lamps from a safe distance to make it more dangerous for other players to enter and flank you

There's 17 spawns for 12 people in a quickplay. So the chance of spawning next to eachother is actually really big

In terms of attacking a camping wellspring defender I find distractions like the chaos bomb work really well. I've successfully breached quite a few compounds by just throwing the chaos bomb on the opposite side of the building. The guy inside gets all agitated and started looking at windows/doors on that side. Then you can easily slip in and take him out from the opposite side. Even if he doesn't fall for it it's enough noise to be able to get into a good position without them knowing.

This game looks good and the price is always cheap on steam but when I watch gameplay it seems like I need to figure out an entire season of X-files to know what the hell you're supposed to do. I don't want my teammate screaming at me because I didn't hop on one foot while patting my tummy and rubbing my head counter clockwise chanting the Karma Sutra shuffle backwards keeping my right foot in and shaking it all aboot. *edit* Fuck it, it has solo play so I only have myself to blame when I suck. If you get credit for people buying the game based on your videos then count me down as one. GG.

Salvation73 Solo is great as the stealth mecanisms are really in depth. You can set up nasty ambushes.

at that range, the sparks would not be doing full 149 damage, and the dolch hit to the arm at that distance would do hardly any damage.

Can anyone explain the timer? It makes no sense. No one explains it. How do I stop it from going down? I die every game to the timer before seeing or hearing anyone.

The timer represents the amount of energy left in the wellspring. The game finishes when it expires. To win, you must collect 4 rifts from the different compounds, or kill another player that has the wellspring if they collected 4 rifts first. Then as the timer counts down you will gain bounty, and when it hits zero you win.
