My dad flu them in 70's and 80's in Poland, he use to train pilots. Very nice plane I use to play in them when I was a kid. Lot of good memories :)

The Dassault (not pictured) is my favorite iteration of the Alpha Jet. While far from an authority on the subject, it is my due diligence that the Dassault Version and the Dornier Version (video segments) are not the same. While the financial arrangement to produce these planes was a "joint venture" ... the French and Germans had separate nuances in their design and production. The Dassault Version has a rounded nose and supposedly is more stable on approach and in turbulence than the very pointed nose of the Dornier. I find it elegant. From my reading and statement by pilots, there are other differences. They are both a great concept and certainly among my personal aspirations to fly ... I just like the Dassault more.

@@MUCSpotter The Dornier was apparently produced in greater numbers which is why you see more of them. If you make the effort, you can find the Dassault version. I can see why some folks like the Dornier, which favors the T38 with its pointed nose. It's all in the mind ...
