[4K] 2021 U.S. Navy Blue Angels : San Francisco Fleet Week (Saturday Demo) Comms Included!

After a year off due to Covid, the United States Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, roared back over San Francisco to headline Fleet Week. For the first time ever, the Blues showcased their F/A-18 Super Hornets, and C-130J Super Hercules over the Bay Area demonstrating both the high performance capabilities and precision of their new platforms. This video was recorded in 4K on Saturday 10/9/2021. With a pretty hefty cold front passing through days prior it left for some moderate winds, cooler temperatures, excellent visibility, along with a good amount of moisture in the air most notably visible when the jets were under G. Blue Angel 3 Maj. Frank Zastoupil "CHOMPS," experienced a mechanical issue with his ladder shortly after takeoff from Oakland International Airport and RTB'd to troubleshoot the problem, not returning to the formation until the Change Over Roll. Despite the Covid restrictions being quite strict in San Francisco, there was quite a large and joyful crowd to welcome the team back to "the city by the bay."

Fyi...chomps didn't switch yet on his RTB but met the crew on the taxiway and secured the lader....he returned to 28L to get back to the box with the team

@@_wingflexaviation_ I've heard that too....we saw during first engine turns that morning a few folks trying to get that one secured......we've also seen the pilots switch jets right before departure for technical issues then later swapping out tail numbers. They juat go qith the flow and put on a great show...ita a real true demonstration of qhat actually happens during training and wartime. And the big cargo planes like my brother was a cargo master in the Air Force he had to keep track of all the stuff cargo he had in there and made trips back and forth to the US from Vietnam with flag draped coffins in it he wasn't the same when he got home I didn't know he was a member of the knights of Columbus

It would be great to see the USS Carl Vincent back in the BayArea! 🤙🦦❤️ we had the Arizona and the Enterprise stationed at Alameda! 🤙🕊🇺🇸. At least we still have Air Force and we are still🤙🇺🇸. I’m just remembering the fly outs every other day as a normal! C5 and maybe a SR71! Seen F14s and F16s fly out from Alameda as a kid- teen! 👍❤️👌

I’m guessing your scanner can manage dual frequencies if so.

@@BonesAv I did manually program my scanner to pick them up but there are a few websites on Google you can pull those from. The Diamond and Solos operate using separate frequencies on PRI when they're behind the crowd/setting up maneuvers. Both the diamond and solos will talk on the showline using a single frequency on AUX to increase situational awareness of where the other formation is in their timing/location.

Tengo curiosidad por saber , que sienten o les pasa si comieron alimentos y de repente tienen que salir a hacer estos movimientos de giros , piruetas subir hasta lo más alto y dejarse caer en Picada, simulando cualquier situación que pudiera surgir en caso de un ataque enemigo , vimos la película de Top Gun dónde sube a lo más alto y rompe la barrera del espacio , como su compañero pierde el conocimiento excelente película no se qué opinen ustedes que si saben y están dentro de todo lo que es la Aviación y fuerza aérea mucho amor , destreza , vocación , disciplina , valor y fortaleza tienen ustedes al estar en defensa del país ofreciendo seguridad , sin ustedes , sería un caos

Thanks for sharing that! And nice job getting an angle off the end of 28L there. I tried to see the past couple days if I could watch from somewhere on that perimeter road but the fence was pretty tall and the runway elevation was higher than the road.
