In this episode, we begin (and end) our journey at the Sam Yot MRT Station, diving into the heart of a historic neighborhood where every step reveals Bangkok's rich cultural tapestry. This area is close to the main tourist attractions but retains a genuine local vibe, free from tourist traps...a truly enchanting area to visit!
Along the way, we’ll explore a bustling market (Trok Mor Morning Market) where locals gather for breakfast, and admire the charming architecture of the area, all under the warmth of a typical hot morning in Thailand's capital.
Our adventure takes us past iconic landmarks like the Democracy Monument, Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan, and Wat Saket Ratchaworamahawihan (The Golden Mount), and we’ll also pass by shops and factories where Buddha statues are crafted and sold.
We’ll continue our walk to The Giant Swing, also known as Sao Chingcha, before circling back to our starting point at the Sam Yot MRT Station.
It’s a pleasant and safe walk that you can easily do on your own.
