Presented in 4K! Over the past few months, I've railfanned in the Inland Empire (San Bernardino, Colton, Riverside) area of Southern California countless times. Over these several visits, I've been lucky that both BNSF and Union Pacific have sent some awesome action to the area. Featured here, is a compilation of these various rare catches.
Starting off at Union Pacific's West Colton Yard, CN #2241 is seen switching around and departing on the M-WCNP manifest train towards North Platte, NE. Sure is great to see Canadian power here in SoCal, let alone on my birthday!! Moving on to the next location along the BNSF San Bernardino Subdivision at Rana, a BNSF Executive "Big" MAC passes on an outbound stack train. Visited the Grand Terrace area next, for some usual BNSF and Union Pacific stack trains. Also swung by the Mt. Vernon area on the Union Pacific Sunset Route, to see 3 brand new UP EMD SD70AH locomotives on a Mira Loma bound autorack train. Finally rounding up the location, went down to the Riverside station. The same UP consist is seen passing by, sharp looking engines even at night! Shortly after, Amtrak's Southwest Chief passes with 2 Siemens Charger locomotives en route to Illinois.
Thanks for watching!
