The Seibu Tamako Line (西武多摩湖線, Seibu Tamako-sen) is a 9.2-kilometre (5.7 mi) single-track railway line in Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway.
The line is part of the Seibu Shinjuku group of railway lines that connects suburban areas of western Tokyo to Seibu and JR East main lines that extend to central Tokyo. The line is named after the Tama Lake (多摩湖, Tamako), a major reservoir supplying water to Tokyo, located close to the terminus of the line at Tamako.
From the last stop, Tamako Station, you can go to Seibuen Amusement Park.

Ah! This is the 2000 series train! From the anime "Train to the End of the World ( 終末トレインどこへいく？)" - the details of the train and its story is fun to watch. Will we get a video of the Seibu Ikebukuro Line? Not just Agano Station > Ikebukuro, And go in both directions. The 2024 anime is still being aired and is very good, it's popular in the USA and Japan. May get a lot of new viewers. The opening song is still in my head. "GA-TAN GO-TON", performed by Rei Nakashima. Which is the sound of the wheels rolling on the track.

This video shows a full front view of the Seibu Railway Tamako Line from Kokubunji station (a junction station of the JR Chuo Line) in Tokyo to Lake Tamako (Tamako St), a water reservoir for Tokyo. There is a lot of track space, and the structure allows for double-tracking. The last forest around Tamako Station is "Totoro's forest", which became famous in the manga.＝この動画は東京都内の国分寺（JR中央線の接続駅）から東京都の水道用貯水池である多摩湖までの西武鉄道多摩湖線の全面展望です。線路スペースが多く確保されており複線化も可能な構造です。最後の多摩湖駅周辺の森は、漫画でも有名になった「トトロの森」です。

I love these local trains. Upd: Can see a few abandoned sidings right away. That line definitely had some history, although probably not as a freight line.

at least I can see one former passing loop, it might be removed due to lower traffic density

Also looks as if significant sections could have been double track with both the width of the overhead gantry able to accommodate a second line but the ground as well.

@@xr6lad yup, I agree. The provisions are there but the traffic level never rise to adequate level

@@xr6lad Indeed. The gantry ahead of Hageyama seem old. And the bridge right after Yasaka is double in width.
