@@MineRickStar yes, European tram are very modern. But Indonesia does not have any tram system. So any tram is interesting for us. I remember went to Hong Kong and very excited when riding the tram.

Hmm... Guess because they don't act like trains? (Well, it's just my opinion), unlike trains which can't make an immediate stop trams react much nearer to vehicles on asphalt, and they share the same space with other vehicles on road, just try to imagine when you have to stop just to let a single tram pass through while you're on green...
@serhiikrupskyi29545 жыл бұрын
@@haran9104 , I don`t know how in your country but in exUSSR countries trams have priority. And trams can`t make immediate stop like vehicles on asphalt. Firstly empty tram wagon has weight 16t (Tatra T3) - more tham average vehicle on asphalt. Secondly friction force metal to metal lower than force tire to asphalt
@haran91045 жыл бұрын
@@serhiikrupskyi2954 Serhii Krupski even so, they're still way much lighter than a single locomotive in general, and of course I'm aware of the fact that they're rolling on a rail made out of steel. Even so, 16 ton is way much lighter than the average weight of a single locomotive in general. Unless they're running on 10 cars formation they should be able to make a stop better than a real single train does. I'm not saying that they can stop as well as vehicles on asphalt do, in the end it's just my opinion though... =_=

In my country, all bigger intersections with a tram line have traffic lights, and nearly all of them detect when a tram (or even bus) is approaching. They switch to a phase where the tram can go immediately if detected. This helps the tram keep the timetables better and encourages using public transport.
@haran91045 жыл бұрын
@@NekiCat sounds interesting, that alone shows how much the authority on your area put their effort in promoting public transportation, unfortunately that shouldn't work well in my country, not with this state at the moment,... =_=
