UHS O 664 GRU I imagine you're no longer surprised at how many watchers use your channel to occupy our minds while doing various kinds of healing (mental and physical). I also do daily voice exercises while watching (nothing as strenuous as opera, I mostly narrate audiobooks) and in addition to watching the country roll by, I like to imagine how the countryside looked during steam train times. Deepest gratitude to you, and may you have many safe travels, via rail or however.

UHS O 664 GRU - What a nice ride that was! Thank you very much for sharing this! I have seen many of your videos - but still I like those of the Bergen Line best. First I was thinking that it would be really nice to have a "double-video" of the Bergen Line: A "heavy-snow-version" on the left and a "summer-version" on the right side. Then I thought about the required synchronization nightmare, and then I thought "maybe that's not the best of all ideas". ;)
@leifstrandbech7697 ай бұрын

Thank you :D I agree with you. The interesting thing is the stark difference in the topography from the east side and west side of the country. We have a ridge of mountains splitting the country in two, so the best views are absolutely when you go through the mountains. I do have a some videos where I have done what you're asking for, but not like split :) just transitions between the different seasons as we go :D Here is one of the Flåm Line: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5jOq6Gpp9SGbM0 And one of the Bergen Line: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKPIfmSJjNSLms0 Thank you for staying all the the way to Grua! :D Woohoo! ❤️❤️❤️

Yep, that was classic for most stations here in Norway as well. When you have stations like that, they can not be controlled remotely. There has to be a dispatcher on site to give the departure clearance for each train. The requirement for stations that is to be controlled remotely is that they have an exit signal for each of the tracks.

What is the function of the white concrete (if it's concrete) strips that appear and disappear along the route? Do they hold some sort of utility cables? For instance, at 2:46:30, a strip starts up, with what looks a round access port at the head of it. Oh, snap! Is the red cable on the right side of the track starting at 2:56:30 a clue to the answer?
