painting over a painting feels very strange but it is the best thing sometimes, the alternative is to throw it away, at least by painting over, it really is a rebirth like you said. The canavas doesnt get kicked out of the house. Take as much time as you need, you are one of my favourite artists, and that would still be true even if you never painted again! I hope that you do of course, but only if it makes you happy!

I about died watching you paint over your finished piece! It broke my heart! I cannot fathom doing that.. it takes months out of my life to complete pieces. I’m a slow artist, and I cannot imagine painting over a work I painstaking poured hours, days, or even months of my life to finish. Your work is beautiful… if I had the money, I would have purchased that…. I hope you know that you are insanely gifted, and not selling a piece is in no way a reflection of your work. What type of acrylic paint do you use? It looks a bit similar to liquitex soft body because of the opacity and fluid coverage. Also you should try oil painting! It’s what I do, oil paints are very fun and blend so well.
