The flowers look like Dutch Iris. I was glad to hear you had the bear spray with you. You said the bear wants no part of you but I'm nking maybe a wing or a leg. I did not see the moose, but I was saying to myself "where's the moose, where's the moose, where's the moose?", as I looked around. I have been taking in the beauty of Montana. However, having lived in Colorado there is one advantaage -- no mosqujitoes. It is high desert there and I did not see bugs there,which I like.

Yes, I was hoping the camera caught it but there were too many trees. Definitely have mosquitos here in woods near water bu they aren't out yet. We often only have them for about a month or so. -H

I hope the rocks on the trail weren't placed by people who wanted to dissuade snowmobiles during the winter. Definitely watching videos has helped me to enjoy exercising on an elliptical in my home bound situation in Florida. We've watched tours of cities in Europe and the US National Parks. Even train rides in coastal or mountainous regions.

They may have been knocked over by horses on the trail. One big one had been moved off the trail. I don't think this is a place used for snowmobiling much as it's a short way to the wilderness boundary. -H

1. if the bear isn't charging, I'd stop. 2. If it saw me, I'd make sure it knew I could see it. 3. stand up straight and look as big as possible. 4. back away slowly. It's really very unlikely to see them if you are talking as they are afraid of humans.

City Walks, if I was to take a guess those lovely blue flowers at 17:40 may be Iris Sibirica and the yellow ones at 18:00 look like Coneflowers. The little white flowers at 19:20 look like Sagittaria. By the way, even though they reside in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, you or any of your commenters may be able to get a real nice free flower catalog from Veseys.com. It has lots of beautiful flower pics. Later!
