In 4K City Walks: Tallinn Estonia's Medieval Old Town - Virtual Walk Walking Treadmill Video you will walk through the amazingly preserved Medieval heart of Tallinn Estonia. Amazingly preserved streets and alleyways wander in a senseless morass of a labyrinth but that just make it more enjoyable. The old city walls still surround most of the old town. 40 ft high, they tower above you as you walk. The area bleeds history. From the market square and town hall to the Kiek in de Kok museum and the various cathedrals, including the onion domed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the city welcomes you with its enchanting embrace. How's that for poetry. I walked in the morning on this one and I had to try twice since I accidentally lost the footage from the first try. I also used my Sony with a wide angle lens to capture the tall buildings in the narrow streets. I hope you enjoy this walk. Tallinn, Estonia is a great city with lots to offer. This video is one of five that will be released over the next few weeks.
Thanks.

From Wikipedia:
Tallinn is the capital, primate and the most populous city of Estonia. Located in the northern part of the country, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, it has a population of 434,562. Administratively a part of Harju maakond (county), Tallinn is a major financial, industrial, cultural, educational and research centre of Estonia. Tallinn is located 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of Helsinki, Finland, 320 kilometres (200 mi) west of Saint Petersburg, Russia, and 380 kilometres (240 mi) east of Stockholm, Sweden. It has close historical ties with these three cities. From the 13th century until the first half of the 20th century Tallinn was known in most of the world by its historical German name Reval.
Tallinn, first mentioned in 1219, received city rights in 1248, but the earliest human settlements date back 5,000 years. The first recorded claim over the land was laid by Denmark in 1219, after a successful raid of Lyndanisse led by king Valdemar II, followed by a period of alternating Scandinavian and Teutonic rulers. Due to its strategic location, the city became a major trade hub, especially from the 14th to the 16th century, when it grew in importance as part of the Hanseatic League. Tallinn's Old Town is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tallinn has the highest number of startups per person among European countries and is a birthplace of many international high technology companies, including Skype and Transferwise. The city is to house the headquarters of the European Union's IT agency. Providing to the global cybersecurity it is the home to the NATO Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. Tallinn is ranked as a global city and has been listed among the top ten digital cities in the world. The city was a European Capital of Culture for 2011, along with Turku in Finland.

Nice job. You must do these video walks very early in the morning, while the streets are almost empty of people. That allows the architecture and parkland to hold center stage with no distractions. Being a misanthrope, I'm delighted by the very low population density in this walking video. Nothing quite "uglifies" a beautiful setting, urban or natural, like a milling herd of gross-looking human beings.

11:28 not really "based on" Finnish, but both languages come from the same "tree". I don't see Russian influence other than some half twisted slang words due to the soviet occupation from ~1940 to 1991. Any German influence mostly comes from earlier occupations by the Germans. Now there's even English influence, especially among the millennials and younger. They think they're so cool that way...

Absolutely DISGUSTING AS HELL.. OF A PLACE.. WELL FIRST OFF any historical place or any place that has this giant 10th century or 13th century looking premises and cobble stones carved roads gives me HIGH HIGH anxiety anyway!!!. Hence-- (europe) atleast the 99%of it. Moreover these place is Dark as hell! The country is clean with nearly no crime rate bcuz there's barely any people!?and the ones are there! they would likely to stay "without blood on the hands".However if one commit's acrime,no one literally no one would be able to identify a leash of the crime! Bcuz it is easy to commit a crime there.(no-comment). Very very very few amount of wide open places and literally zERO GREEN ENVIRONMENT!!/SCENARIO... ANS THESE ARE JUST SOME QUICK PONT'S ... THEREARE ENDLESS POINTS REGARDING WHY NO ONE SHOULD EVER COMES HERE..!?!? ONE PLUS POINT-- IT IS LITERALLY OUT OF DANGER AND VERY CLEAN! . . Seriously!!! Some people even like this kind of architecture!! How?!?!? 😰...

Wow, I can’t see how you came to these conclusions. Estonia has many natural areas as does Tallinn itself. I love the architecture and didn’t think it was dark at all. While the old town isn’t my favorite part of the city, it is absolutely beautiful. We experience no crime in our time there other than a potential pick pocket. I would highly recommend the city has a place to travel to. I hope you feel better.
