This market had the most I've seen in my travels. The market in Cartago was also impressive with a lot of different stuff. On the highway from San Jose to Puntarenas there's a town called Orotina, it has a fruit market along the main road with has a wide variety of fruits. Generally though the farther north you head into Guanacaste, the less selection there is of fresh fruit. Most of the exotic stuff is grown in the central valley.
