Really great video for someone in the market to pick up a camera. You are really in your sweet spot in those slopes you look so happy. Weird with the Osmo Action exposure issue at the end.

Yes. That was so weird. No clue why it got overexposed in the middle of recording like that.

Thank You Sean, I personally think in 4k the Osmo Action had a better picture, but the GoPro was not bad, when you went to the 1080 the Osmo Action was blown out, and the GoPro looked good, but the sound on the GoPro was way better than the Osmo Action. Thanks again Sean you have deffinatly helped me make up my mind on what action camera I'm going to get. Keep up the Awsome video!!!! Would love to see more of you work!!!!

Thanks. I appreciate it. I agree. In this video the color looked really nice on the osmo. The other videos I put up last week the color looked nicer on the GoPro so I wasn’t expecting them to switch like this. To bad we can’t combine features from both into one super action camera. Lol

Hey Sean. Another great video. Watched your 1080p comparison and now this one. The Osmo has great picture quality but for me the GoPro edges it based on wide fov and sound. The quality of picture is right up there too. By the way, what selfie stick do you use? Is it Gopro? Steve

Thanks. I just hate when reviewers get products for free then claim nothing is wrong even if there are issues minor or major. To one person a minor thing could seem major and vice versa.

@@SeanOzz Yea man for sure. I have seen a lot of it when it comes to the Osmo action. I'm looking for a vlogging camera so I can get started and some reviews help more than others. Enjoy the snow, looks awesome!

For vlogging I think the only downside is the audio. It is decent overall for that use. If they had an external mic set up that would be best. The GoPro 7 audio for being waterproof is better than I would have expected. It’s a hotter mic input than the osmo. Good or bad.

@@SeanOzz I'm planning for now on using an external recorder and lav. If I switch between camera's at least the audio is decent and similar that way. Looking at the Sony RX100V and Canon G7M2 as well both having no audio jacks. I have a Hero5 Session so maybe the above will compliment that. Always going round in circles tho due to the good marketing haha.

Sean Greyvenstein the external audio is a great solution. Then just auto synch it up. Tascam makes a good small recorder. I’ve been considering getting that set up myself.

Had to watch twice...first of all not ever snow boarding...was amazed by your skills... second one was to watch the review.. Liked the Osmo better but GoPro is still the king...(in my opinion)

Lol. Thanks Dusty. What surprised me on this video is the osmo has better color. Every other time I’ve gone out side by side the GoPro dominated with color right out of the camera. If only we could mix the best qualities of both into one. Maybe the GoPro 8 or osmo 2 will do that.

GP 7 winner. I'm in the market for one to finally replace my old Session 4, and the GP7 Black is currently the equivalent of 349 USD here in central Europe and the Action is 399 USD. Those prices are for the basic pack with one battery, no SD. So the G7 is not only better but 50 bucks cheaper. Win win. VERY envious of those slopes though. Man that looks like some good boarding right there. Love how open and wide they are.

@@SeanOzz I also live in Switzerland and been to Matterhorn (Zermatt) a few times in winter and summer, and still prefer boarding in a resort called Grindelwald. My fave resort in Switzerland for riding and amazing scenery. Anyhoo, thanks for the vid. GoPro 7 for me all the way. Just saw a few more vids on the DJI vs the 7, and it's now clear that the GP 7 wins overall. Shame because they need some decent competition.

@@blank.9301 I use the gopro 85% of the time and about 100% if doing high action still. The audio is better overall on the 7 as well. The action feels better for vlogging and gopro for action.

DJI narrow view adds more of a cinematic action feel to it, as such action cameras are intended to be, having a wider screen is not logical on an action camera as if takes off the action away from the footage.

Osmo has no wind noises. Osmo prob be better on motorcycle. Sound must be software thing to remove wind noise
