This city has so much potential. I saw a lot vacant buildings for rent. It needs to embrace the retirement community of Golf Shores. But this is an area I would like to retire to.

We who live in Europe because of Hollywood movies that usually portray this part of the United States in a negative context, especially Alabama you get the impression that it is a completely underdeveloped space with aggressive racist peasants.Actually as far as i see Alabama and Mobile look much cleaner, tidier, better organized without drug addicts and beggars as in other parts of the United States that present themselves better in public.This city looks really nice to me.

This downtown area of Mobile makes up a very small part of the whole city. I don't get how people can watch a video like this and be surprised at what they are seeing. When I am interested in a city or a part of the world, I check out its local news, social media chatter, or websites based there.

Great video 👍. A beautiful town. Although I am a Europan, I know that there are many nice places in the USA. Everyone only wants to get to L.A. or somewhere else in California. I'm not saying that California has ugly areas, but that there are really very nice lands elsewhere in the United States, even without a nearby sandy beach.

@@sharronpettis384 I thought something else. America as a continent includes the USA and its states. This is similar to how Europe as a continent includes the European Union and its states. However, nobody talks about the USA in Europe. Everyone says that "I'm going to live in America". No one will say that "I'm going to live in the USA". :)

Places with culture and history are really amazings! Great choice to show us! Seja sempre prudente e bons tours!🙂 Helô

So I am curious, I want to get away from the very long winters in Wisconsin and find somwhere I can go to play disc golf almnost year around...it looks like Jan. - Feb. - March are very mild (NO snow) and Sept. - Oct. - Nov. are pretty mild?? so only May thru August appear to be very hot and humid, would that be accurate??
@taberm2000 Жыл бұрын
@@mrpoopoohead7668 Your only really uncomfortable months are July, August and early september. Our winters are mild, though January and February can bring some pretty chilly weather. It's a good place to live especially if you like the water. Not sure what the poster meant when he said Mobile was "behind". It's a midsize city with all the problems that you can expect with Urban life, but for the most part it's safe, affordable, nice people, and pretty good weather. If you are seeking a fast pace city where everyone is always in a hurry, then Mobile would indeed seem behind the times.

I love Mobile. Very clean city. People are friendly (the South in general), the buildings are beautiful (especially at night), cool that it's a port city on the water, the USS Alabama is there, Mardi Gras originated there and the museum is there, the I-10 runs right through it so it's easy to travel to and from and it's cool driving through the tunnels when there isn't traffic. A new $3 billion dollar bridge is being built, but the tunnels will remain. The only thing I wish they had is a minor league baseball and hockey team like Pensacola. I know the Mystics used to be there and moved away.
