[4K] Duisburg Germany Walking Tour - City Center during Pandemic

In this Duisburg City tour in Western Germany, I am walking you through the City Center of Duisburg during the worldwide pandemic and cover various sightseeing spots within the City Center. Duisburg is located in Western Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia) and one of the largest cities in Ruhr and 15th largest city in Germany.

In the Middle Ages, it was city-state and a member of the Hanseatic League, and later became a major centre of iron, steel, and chemicals industries. For this reason, it was heavily bombed in World War II. Today it boasts the world's largest inland port, with 21 docks and 40 kilometres of wharf. This is another city walk where I am exploring the City Center in a compact form. I am starting at the main station and then walking towards the city center, then showing quickly the König Heinrich Platz and the Opera House. After that I continue walking towards the end of the city and you will see the City Hall of Duisburg right before I finish this tour.

Thanks for the video! Actually, you see more details in the video than when you walk through the streets in real life. If you had gone a few meters straight further, you would have arrived the inner Port "Innenhafen" with more spectacular buildings at the waterfront❤

I have lived in Duisburg for nearly 14 years and I must say: it depends. There are completely failed cuarters with high criminality like Marxloh or Rheinhausen, but there's also the most beautiful places to live, such as Ruhrort, Kaiserberg, the 6 seas of Wedau, and many more.

Duisburg is not as uglier as other big cities in Germany... The most people who say Duisburg is ugly and dirty did not realy see other wonderful places in Duisburg. And , by the way, Duisburg has an intersting history. Maybe Duisburg is much older than known....Maybe it was Dispargum.... in the 4th century. Duisburg was attacked by vikings in 883 and they stayed there one year before brave knights free Duisburg. Not to forget that Gerhard Mercator worked in Duisburg and was buried in the Salvator Cathedral in Duisburg. Duisburg is much more intersting than Munich or any other city - in my opinion ;-) Interested people should visit the Stadthistorisches Museum (city historical museum) ...highly interesting!!! And the Casino Duisburg is the biggest one in strong sales in Germany!!!!

They ranked the city's before 1 week......... Duisburg is place 50 from 50 in Germany.......... I was born here and grew up here....... It's horrible......... The video is nice but times changed and we have a lot of crimes and dirt in the streets now..... Not worth to live here

This video is far removed from what youll encounter if you go.there now, i lived there 2 years as a foreigner, and best thing we did was drink.at home or about, nightlife lame, not the normal german hotties, more turkish than german in many places, bad crime rate. No one really visits there and anyone growing up there with any.ambition, leaves
