(4K) Fast Moving CSX train with DPU roars through level crossing

This video was shot at the New Brunswick Ave level crossing in Piscataway, New Jersey
On Monday, September 5th, I was in the area filming an semi Abandoned crossing, my scanner went off. I high-tailed it down to the Lehigh Line and just had enough time to setup my tri-pod and camera before this beast came flying through the crossing, and with a DPU as well!

I grew up less than 250 feet from a double tracked CSX mainline(Dad still lives there.) So there is something about the sound of a CSX engine that just gets to me. It was the soundtrack to my life.

After Listening to the radio tapes, I have concluded that this is CSX Q404. It’s a very small Q404 with only 494 Axles. Usually, it has around 700 to 800 axles.

Yea, it looks like it, and i wouldn't be surprised if NJT started using Type 2 in the future

The company I work for, pruned all of those trees, via Hi-Rail tree trucks and Chippers last year, for 4 miles on each side of that crossing.

@@FreedomtowerStudios we have crews working today in Roxbury, NJ on the High Bridge Branch of the Dover and Rockaway Railroad. I think they will be finished today or tomorrow. We are going to be starting a clearing job in a couple of weeks in Philadelphia on East Penn tracks. An abandoned spur track is being put back into service for a business that wants to ship via rail.
