Dude! You can make that same glove with using two sided velcro, meaning one side is sticky, the other side is the velcro which you would stick your sanding pad onto.

Slightly different procedure than the 2000/3000/P5000D. Even though the procedure you talked about here and the older using P5000D both scan at 5500+ what is the performance difference between the two?
@Ctdbowling2 жыл бұрын
Though they will scan the same the performance is much more backend with the process shown in the video. You actually need some lines in the ball to stop it from over skidding.

If I have a ball with a factory finish of 500, 1000, 1500, polish, and the Trucut pads cut exactly what the number says on the pad, and I wanted to get that surface back, would I only need to sand it at 1500 grit, and then polish it?

The way I did it by hand was 500, 4K then applied the polish
@CasualGamerPlays2 жыл бұрын
That ball didn't look like 4K fast, it just looked like a ball that was sanded down to 2000. When i watched the storm video and view the ball that they applied the 4K fast sanding technique to, it still had a shine to it. The ball that you guys reviewed, was dull.

Sanding a solid is one thing but if I buy the rst x3 with the 4k fast, your saying 1500 grit and then polish it? I don't have a machine and will have to do this by hand. Isn't 4k fast some type of 4,000? Or is it just that 1500 grit and then polish would make it come close as possible to out of box finish? Not to mention the rst x3 is 2 parts pearl and 1 solid? I just don't want to mess this ball up by doing the wrong thing.

Hey Ronald, I’m confused about your process to get a storm bowling ball back to 1500 grit polish. Approximately six months ago you put out a video about 1500 grit polish using the Trend 2. Your steps there was 3000 CTD pad and then polish. Now, your steps are 1500 CTD pad and polish. Can you clarify which steps I/we should follow? Thanks

Thank you sir. Keep up the good work with your videos. I purchased your surface scanner can’t wait to receive it and experiment with getting the balls close to out box.

Too many errant shots. Unfortunately, polishing a ball often reduces the amount of miss area on some house shots. But, the steps to recreate the Storm OOB finish is much appreciated.
@dmpase8 ай бұрын
What would be the result if you ONLY used the 1500 grit and skipped the polish step? Would the ball be more aggressive? (Does the polish soften the performance?) Or would the ball behave inconsistently? (Unevenness in the application of the 1500 grit would cause inconsistent performance?)

This is good stuff… wanna try and resurface my Infiniti physics… which is 4000 grit out of the box… Do I just use the 4000grit pad with no polish to get back as close to box finish? Thank I’m advance fro answering, Love the channel

Yes, that’s how I do it. According to them, if you use their product the pad should cut to that grit. I have their products and so far they are true to their word.

I see you sand 4 sides of the bowling ball. Do you do this only on the finer grits? Whenever I resurfaced a deeply scratched bowling ball where I started at 180 grit, I always sanded both sides of 3 axis. Was I wasting time by doing the extra two sides or is that what SHOULD be done until you get to the finer grits?
