I don't know if you do already know this, and if you do, then that's fair enough, I can see the realtion you are trying to make. The FS was named after a route between London & Edinburgh, which left everyday at a specific time from London. The route between London & Edinburgh was called the Flying Scotsman, and that's how the locomotive got it's name, by being named after the route. And I agree, for the speed the engine is going at, the wheels turn far too slow. Here the game is slightly glitched, as when I did the challenge the other week, the wheels were turning much faster, albeit still too slowly Also, the speed of the FS here is way over the top speed of the FS in real life, which irritates me slightly as a steam lover. I suppose they did it for the game to be interesting, not for the speed of the train to be realistic when it's a game about cars.

For me about 50 tries XD But I do have only ABS on and am using a steering wheel for the first time in hood view. I was driving a bit better than this video (less steering, almost no bumping and stuff) almost every time up until those final two turns and somehow never took them well until like the 50th time.

@@lystic9392 completely depend upon the difficulty. i never use the race lines or any brake help, but at "above average" skill i needed 4 attempts to nail it. uuf. Yes, on gamepad.

Your Flying Scotsman took a lot longer than mine, my guess is that the train matches the player's speed up to a certain point to make the ending cinematic.

This is the WRONG model for the Flying Scotsman. This is the Scotsman as she was when she was first built back in 1921 when she was an A1 Class. Right now she's an A3 in BR brunswick green late crest livery with german style smoke deflectors.

just think of the hornby models of flying scotsman they're all A1 models but with A3 tenders. the scotsman was fitted with an great northern A1 tender i wish hornby got they're models of that engine correct because if she's got an suppose to be an A1 then why is she got an A3 tender

I assume that the reason that she's painted in Apple Green is because that's how most non rail enthusiast people know her. It's also the livery that seems to be the most famous in general, so it goes hand in hand with beautiful historic Britain.
