I always tell people, they need to get to Hawaii at least once in their life. It's isolated and expensive, but it's SO beautiful. Definitely worth it, at least once!

Well it would appear you're one of the few people (outside of other KZbinrs) who can actually say you've been on a flight with me haha. That's pretty cool my friend. Next time definitely say hi. I won't mind 😄. I can always edit the audio to remove any conversation.

I can never get used to the fact that landing on Runway 4R is normal now. At night, this runway is used primarily for landings now. Before their closure of Runway 8L/26R, Runway 8L was usually the only normal landing runway.

It’s very cool that the Boeing 767-300ER that was on runway 8R waiting for takeoff when you where landing is Delta 305 to Seattle. I was on that flight!

I was watching the 1969 movie Marooned with Gene Hackman, Gregory Peck, Richard Crenna and James Franciscus. Now THERE'S a movie you should see. This is the one where 3 astronauts spent 5 months in an orbiting space station, a precursor to Skylab and on their way back home, the service module on their ship fails and they can't get back down to Earth, hence the title of this movie. This movie was very well done, came out shortly after the Apollo 11 Moon Mission and before the Apollo 13 mishap (hey, we've had a problem here). This was the movie where Gene Hackman lost it, freaked out, panicked, quite a contrast from his confident preacher character in The Poseidon Adventure or his Lex Luther persona on Superman. Anyhow, another fine video on your part. This was the day when we had the darkest High Noon that I had ever seen. Glad it was a lot brighter where you were. Anyhow, this certainly beats being marooned in space orbiting the earth. And if you come across a Ring of Power, do not take it lightly, and remember that on some of these flights, it's 7 years per hour and when you go overseas, be sure to Drink The Ooze.

Yet another amazing Skylite Productions video! The 737 max 8 sounds great! My favorite part was seeing the mountains in the background, and watching the land turn to water! In May, I'll be flying to Lihue from Phoenix on an American Airlines A321! So excited. Thank you for posting this awesome capture.

Next Time you are on Southwest, Especially on the West coast, keep an eye out for Captain Ernie. He also has a flight channel, he is a Southwest Captain.

I've met him, a couple of times at different Southwest events. Never flown with him though. Love his channel!

That's how I'll do it when I finally head to Australia and New Zealand some day. Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't gotten there already, but the direct flight from the west coast of the US are expensive and longer than KZbin will allow to be uploaded. I've looked into flying to HNL and then on, but most of the flights going to Australia and New Zealand from HNL are on 787's. And I can't stand 787's windows. It's a nightmare to edit videos because of their "dimming" and sometimes the crew just lock the windows closed, and then I've paid for a flight I can't film. So, the beautiful landscapes of Australia and New Zealand have alluded me haha.

Southwest never plays around. I live about 5 miles from Tampa International and go under the runway everyday on my way to work. Of all the airlines, Southwest always gets up in the air the fastest. Like wayyyy up.

Someone needs to tell Southwest to buy some touch up paint -- engine looks a little shabby. Neat approach flying right over the dreaded reef runway -- looks like a Delta B-753 waiting to go.
@sla314 ай бұрын
Never a dull landing in Honolulu, that's for sure. At least this engine is over halfway towards its next repaint, which at least gives it a reason for starting to look less than perfect. I was on a pretty much brand new United 737-9 Max recently and a whole panel on the engine had been replaced and it wasn't painted at all. Like not even a base paint. Talk about looking bad.

@@sla31 Very true… And yeah now that you say that, I remember you posting that lol. But yeah, this particular MAX should be due for a repaint sooner than later. Sort of hard to believe it’s been that long already.
