Thanks for watching! Subscribe - new video production is in progress =) Worth to mention here a warning since a lot of people watching without subtitles: Following assembly is for preview purposes. Proper and safe assembly should be done by a skilled bicycle mechanic. Use professional instruments and manufacturer’s instructions (pay special attention to carbon details).

This video is great.👍 But the seat post need carbon gripper and screws need tighten up with correct torque.

100% right. And they even put assembly gel in the box ❤️ I've put all this info in subtitles to keep image clean.

My OCD is very bothered by the lack of paste used before installing seat post

It's not a build. The bike is just assembled and not ready to use obviously. There is no torque wrench, paste, sealant and pressure in tires... just looking at what's in the box and checking specs. Check my Welier video for a real build.

Imo the most beautiful color of the Advanced lineup. Have ordered one, so your video will hep when it arrives. No experienced builder though, so what exactly you did there with the cables I don't (yet) understand. Did it come with a guide?
@dusty_hoods Жыл бұрын
Be aware that this is not build guide. It's done for preview only - what's in the box content, components, specs and so on. In order to build it yourself you need some experience and proper tools, lubes and so on. Also make sure that your warranty will be saved if you do it by yourself and not by official dealer (in some counties they have this rule). Cables - I removed little cable that is used during transportation and installed derailleur cable. You also need to setup both derailleurs so they will work properly. Everything else just need to be installed and ready to go. Some recommendations are in books that comes with the bike. I highly recommend to make first ride to workshop so mechanic will check if nothing messed and you can ride safe. Nice choice 🥳 Good luck 🙏

How does this bike compare to the Giant 0? Which one would you recommend for a beginner?
@dusty_hoods7 ай бұрын
The most gains in comfort you get from contact points of you and your bike - seat/seatpost, handlebars, pedals/shoes, and tires (super important). And these parts are basic level on all models in stock (except top spec). As a first bike I highly recommend aluminum version with 2*11 groupset. Plus upgrading D-Fuse seatpost to carbon version (you will be amazed by how flexible is carbon D-Fuse vs alu), and any carbon dropbars you like, and wider tires (40mm to 50mm, start with 43-45 to try). As a result, for around the same price, you'll get much more comfortable and durable bike than Advanced model with basic stock components. The only difference will be the weight of frameset but it's 300-400 grams different.

Is this the revolt advanced 3 - terracotta?
@dusty_hoods7 ай бұрын
Yes, exactly.
@vilavg36577 ай бұрын
Between this and the Revolt 0, which one would you prefer? The main difference between the two seems to be the carbon frame? The components on the Revolt 0 seem to be a level or two higher…
@dusty_hoods7 ай бұрын
First of all prices are very different and there are second hand or past years models. Sometimes you can get Advanced 3 2021/2022 for the same price as latest Revolt 0 2024. Considering that upgrading groupset is cheaper than frameset I would go for Advanced 3. If you want the latest 2024 only (obviously you have a wider choice of sizes and color) then Revolt 0 looks more attractive - solid and durable frameset with top level groupset (better shifting and better cassettes and chains options available, even 1x setup will work fine).

In both cases alu or carbon I highly recommend upgrading the seatpost to carbon D-Fuse, any carbon dropbars and wider tires. This will make a much bigger difference to your riding comfort. Even bigger than switching frameset alu to carbon.

@@dusty_hoods this is great thanks - it is exactly the situation I’ve got right now. The revolt 0 is €1800 while the advanced 3 2022/23 is €1600. I’m wondering in if the advanced 3 is a better bike overall that I can keep adding upgrades to in the future- but get started with as a total beginner…

You better know what you're doing that's for sure! Proper and safe assembly should be done by a skilled bicycle mechanic. Topeak stand makes it gently and you don't need to tight strong it at that point. Also this frame is not some cheap chinese plastic "super light carbon" so no issues here.
