If you're planning on visiting the north Idaho panhandle, this video guide to one of the best small State Parks, Round Lake, will help you make the most of your lake camping adventure or easygoing day hike! If you've never heard of Round Lake, watch this and you'll fall in love with this place just like I did!
The inside scoop comes straight from the mouth of a Idaho State park ranger. It's the smaller park compared to the nearby Priest Lake and Farragut State Parks, and sits humbly in a quiet forest around a peaceful mountain lake. It's hidden in that sweet little sliver of Idaho between Washington and Montana! Find out all the awesome lakeside activities available in this rustic back-to-the-basics park, scope out the campground, see some local wildlife, interestingg plants, learn park rules and visitor centor details, find out what amenities are offered with camping and day use, and so much more!
Basically I'm here to help you get pumped to have an amazing outing and a smooth visit to this lovely place that is sure to leave you feeling relaxed after being here.

Wow! So informative and equally entertaining. Loved it! The production, editing, footage, music and narration are outstanding. Best video yet, I think. I would rather watch your travelogues than anything on tv or streaming service. Great job! Looking forward to the next excursion.

Thank you so much for the kind words 😊😁😊 I'm always trying to improve and make my content more entertaining and useful for folks. I'm the same way lately, I prefer watching content on KZbin or other similar places these days. It's fun seeing everyone's videos and feels more personal than all those huge budget TV dramas ans such.

Wow brings back memories, the visitor center is where we stayed back in 1973. My friend was the manager of the park had a great time there. Of course it's a visitor center now there is a home across the street for the manager now. I think we were there 4-5 times thanks for showing.

thank you Cosmic Horizon ^_^ glad you like it. It's such a lovely park, would've never realized it was there because all you hear about out here are Farragut and Priest Lake State Parks (the bigger ones)

I agree! hot but beautiful. luckily doesn't have the humidity like FL 😅 makes it way more tolerable. thanks for watchin' Thomas! 😀 I was pleasantly surprised how lovely and peaceful Round Lake is. I thought it would be super crowded in July compared to all the state parks I've been to in the middle of summer in PNW / Washington State

I miss living in Florida. The beaches were so amazing. A great place to grow up for sure. Though a bit embarrassed to admit I lived in FL most of my life and never went down to the keys 😅

Yes! I'll definitely check it out when I get back into town. I'm not even sure how I have cell service right now. I'm at a field school thing in the west yellowstone region. Fun stuff! A much different landscape than the keys that's for sure! 🌴🌴🌴

for sure, me too! I've barely scratched the surface so far. people are usually focusing on what Washington or Montana has to offer, but don't realize how beautiful North Idaho is :) I'll be working on posting more videos about places up here soon. it's the time of year when I finally have a chance to start editing haha 😄

@@wanderlustvalkyrie Sounds great! I'm a total hiking/wilderness nerd - one of my hobbies is to plan out trips. I like to systematically research areas, using Alltrails, Googlemaps, etc., and come up with best campgrounds/campsites as base camps and best hikes to do from that base camp, as well as straight backpacking trips. I've probably put an inordinate amount of time into it (there's a massive Word doc and everything), but the silver lining is I have learned the geography of half the country pretty extensively just by staring at maps for so many hours hahahahaha. Since I'm in Central Oregon, Idaho is well within striking distance for feasible trips, so I have many planned across the whole state to cherry pick the very best hikes and campgrounds. Your videos are an invaluable resource, I appreciate them - for instance I got a lot out of your Diablo Lake Boat In Video that was extremely helpful - I plan to do Lake Chelan, Diablo Lake, and Ross all as Boat-In backpacking experiences. Thank you for efforts and great work!
