Alex Marquette As someone who worked Pyromaniax, I can tell you it’s much better at the fast rate that it goes. The speed allows monsters to do the scare and vanish from guest view so quickly that it makes it more startling. The monsters here didn’t have much freedom due to safety constraints that kept some of them far from the flume.

This concept has so much potential. They need to transform the ride more. They should've made all the scenes scary themed, like turn all the townsfolk into zombies (by putting creepy masks over their heads and add glowing eyes) and make the wildlife look deranged as well as add more scare actors.

Well, this ride isn't built for Scary Farm. It's a ride mainly for Berry Farm during the rest of the year and basically wherever there is an emergency exit, that's where Talent (not "scare actors") stands. They are merely using the ride for what it already has. I am a monster there at Knott's for this season. That's why I know. Hehe. However, I am not in mazes or in the rides. I am on Streets. 🙂

Dank illusions I just went yesterday for a regular day (NOT Scary Farm) and the whole halloween theme is active and on the 1st drop there are strobe lights flashing on your face going downhill onto the turn. Also, most parts of the ride are darker than usual. One thing they don’t have is the scare monsters; that’s only for Scary Farm.

This is NOTHING compared to what they used to do to this ride for Knotts Scary Farm. Look up Sleepy Hallow Knotts Log ride 2010. THAT'S when this was actually fun and scary. Now it's like they're holding back. 3 - 4 scare actors? That's it? And They barley even decorated.. atleast dim some of the lights, add some fog machines so it looks darker & scarier.. I used to feel clausterphobic on this ride, that's how much fog & strobe lights they used to use on it. It was meant to make you so scared, you wanted it to be over... now it's like They dont wanna spend the money even tho they make a killing every halloween season.. They turned it into a Disney like themed halloween ride, rather than a Knotts Scary Farm maze themed ride. KSF got lame after 2012. They sell to many tickets and give you a shitty experience. I'll always love Knotts but they gotta improve their Haunt experience.

This was just on opening night of Scary Farm. They were still fixing everything up because it wasn't really "finished" to say the least. Now there are strobes in some scenes, about 7 monsters and most lightings have changed. I only know this because I am a ride operator at Log Ride. So basically from opening night to now it looks improved.

Very true, Knott's used to be the best when it came to the Halloween Haunt experience. They actually used to put effort into making it legitimately scary. Now it feels as if they do it because they feel that they're obligated to.
