My Vankyo v620 I bought at Walmart for $170 is my every day use tv for movies, KZbin and gaming. At 100” this thing is amazing. Looking to upgrade to a nice high quality projector and this one is on the list.

It's a very helpful review. The image quality looks excellent on the screen you are using it. Which screen did you use? Can you please provide more details on the screen's you used here?

This was just a white painted wall, not even with a special paint. It would be better on a proper projection screen

How it is compare to epson 3800?

I dont know usa models, but i have Epson tw7400, i think it is 4010 in USA. It is awesome projector, enough brightness, great blacks in dark room, very quiet. I had Benq w2000 before, and it was great projector for movies, but not enough brightness and you have to darken room totally to get nice blacks and image. Epson works fine in even partially lit room, but best results are in dark room, with ambient light treatment (i have dark walls, dark cutrains). Using it like this is like theater experience.

@@gamegamegameful Yes, it is huge and weights 11kg, but picture is awesome. As i read around net 3800 (tw7100 in europe) is great, have some advantages compared to tw7400, like 4k@60hz, mine 7400 cannot deliver it cause it have hdmi 1.4, it is considerably smaller, have better brightness and its cheaper. But i fell in love with 7400 when i saw picture for the first time and besides it is really behemoth, it is by far best projector i ever own for a fair price. It delivers that true cinema effect when watching movies, and other projectors i had in past have that cheap home cinema taste when watching. None had bad picture by any means, but also none have that true theater vibe, except tw7400. Thats my personal impression :) Probably there is much better pj's around but i didnt saw them personally, so cannot comment.
