I have the way of water 3D blu-ray. In the benQ TK 850 it looks MUCH BETTER IN EVERYTHING (COLOR, GRADING, DETAIL, RESOLUTION) that The Way Of Water in 4K in any Oled TV/screen projector, etc. Also, it has the best 3D I have seen in years. It beats every single Star Wars/Marvel/etc. 3D conversion ever made. A lot of people are actually lying about the 4k quality when in fact the 3D blu-ray of this movie beats any single 4K version available on Blu-ray 4K/Disney+/Amazon Prime, etc.

I hear the good thing about BenQ projectors is that their Factory calibrated right out of the box? Are you using your straight out of the box or what settings are you using?

Nice overview! Mine shows up in two days, is the dongle a separate input option? I plan on out from Marantz tuner, and in to tuner from Nvidia shield as well as other devices.

Sometimes I see my projector is very slow in its play motion. It struggles to play the video at same rate of speed. It is going to and fro in speed, it is not constant, Are there any settings that Can we do something about it ? I am connecting my Sony 5.1 via Bluetooth, is this is making the difference in the playing a Video ? Thanks.

The words "native 4K projector" are used rather liberally these days. This projector actually use pixel shifting technology to achieve 4K. Which is fine but native would mean the sensor actually has 8.3 million pixels. The native resolution of the sensor is actually 1920 x 1080 and it displays each frame 4x pixel shifted faster than the human visual system can detect. And yet you can - a true 4K sensor projector just looks sharper. And costs a lot more.

Unfortunately not full access... Not having netflix is huge... And not all apps allow 4k streaming as it should.... And not all work with HDR....

I find it so odd that people don’t care about 3D anymore. When you watch a decent movie in 3D, on a massive screen, the experience is so much better than in 2D. In 2D you watch the scene. In 3D you are in the scene. Not all 3D films are immersive, but the ones that are done right, like Tron Legacy for example, are so much better in 3D.

Yes thank you I really agree with this we 3D fans are unfortunately a dying breed. Check out this small KZbinr @the3dbucker or maybe it's just 3D bunker he does a lot of good 3D reviews.

Not a dying breed. I've had many people tell me theyd buy a 3D set if they were available. Problem is the industry and most reviewers try to hide the feature or pretend it doesn't exist. Pretty stupid to hide a selling point. And for sure, 4K (or any flat format) cant deliver the experience of a well-done 3d presentation.

I love 3D if it is well made 3D effect. And i have seen lots of movies in 3D but i m really disappointed. Animation movies looks incredible in 3D.

We are setting it up at my buddies tomorrow and will testing on his PS5, also got the benq x1300i which can do 1080p 120hz at 8.3 ms for in put lag. Also check out the tk700sti 4k short gaming projector..

this is not a native 4k projector. please do some homework before making videos. this is a pixel shifting 4k projector.

Agree it is a Native 1080p projector that pixel shifts 4 times per cycle to simulate 4k. Also you said something about controlling the ambient light. They market this as does well during the daytime and it has a sister unit the HT3550 that is the cinema version that you need to have a ambient light controlled room.

the tk850i is a complete waste of money compared to the tk850. youre paying 300 bucks for a shitty little usb dongle with android tv on it and you dont even get Netflix as a native app on it lmao. Plus an apple tv 4k hdr costs 200, a fire tv cube like 100
