(4K) Hong Kong to Taipei TRIP REPORT on EVA AIR BR 892 Boeing 787-10

In Sept 2023, I made a trip to Taipei from Hong Kong on EVA AIR. This was the first time flying on EVA in nearly 12 years. Also, this was my first time flying on the 787-10. A meal was served on this short flight which was okay, nothing really special. Overall, the flight was a very pleasant one.

Wow, Eva air send the Boeing 787-10, the longer variant to Hong Kong, interesting and cool. I flew the Boeing 787-8 and 9 before and it's good, but I haven't flew the Boeing 787-10, but hopefully 1 day.

There's quite a bit of capacity on this route. Cathay even sends their A350-1000 and 777-300ER on this route as well.

3:58, It sounds similar to the GE90 engine start on the Boeing 777-300ER, but Genx engine start on the Dreamliner is 2nd loudest, wow.

Yes similar startup sound. I think the GE90-115B has the best sound on startup especially with the low bass.

I took the inbound BR891 a little while ago, and had the same inflight meal. The flight was 100% full!

HKG has a special place in my heart. When I first became Star Alliance Gold, Asiana upgraded me to business class up to ICN. Looks like a beautiful day out of HKG.

Indeed it was a great day out of HKG which is rare as it’s often quite smoggy. That must have been a great experience in biz class on Asiana.
