I just finished a rewatch of "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" and then I come across this video from you. What a great coincidence! Such a nice train line for a nice city. Hope I can visit one day.

I arrived to Fujisawa station by mistake wanting to go to Kamakura station, but in the end it was an amazing experience to ride the Enoden all the way to the big Buddha. Riding on those old train wagons next to the beautiful Pacific ocean is something I fully recommend.

Good ride Mr TE. Different from normal. I like how you stole occassional glimpses out the side window - most cab views don't. Makes the trip more real. It is a shame the one up north reacently did not work as well (but it was still OK considering the lack of network coverage) Keep up the great views. I have enjoyed the Kyushu streams.

@t4N9410oR4 жыл бұрын
There's no way you can attempt to do a recording like this on the trains here in Queensland. There's a solid wall separating the driver's cab, from the passenger cabin. The on road track section from Enoshima to Koshigoe, is decidedly unnerving to watch. I kept thinking where are the barriers to keep pedestrians and vehicles away from the train tracks.
@MFachrizalR4 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I thought when I was there in the said line on the video. And there's also no pedestrian pathway so people share spaces with cars and bikes too. Fortunately the traffic is really low and it's like a norm to drive really slow and step aside every time the train passes. Also no one even think about park their cars on the said road.
21:26 The track draft has not been fixed yet but the train has already driven 😨

Hmmmm... I can’t tell if you’re serious but most train tracks will have crossing tracks if the rail line is going to two different sections. There is nothing wrong with those crossing railings.

Good question! I really don't know why he has to do that. Perhaps to make sure that the doors closed properly..?
@t4N9410oR4 жыл бұрын
You see the answer to that at 25:10 Inamuragasaki Station 稲村ヶ崎駅 EN10. The driver has to check the signal from the guard at the rear of the train.
@MFachrizalR4 жыл бұрын
Also as far as I know, in some train line in Japan the driver has to push the button/device on stations that positioned next to the driver's door each time the train stops. It's like a confirmation device to match the schedule and stuff, I think.

In these single track routes, what if another train comes from the opposite direction?
@zJoriz4 жыл бұрын
You can see that in the video. Unless you're blind of course... in which case: At regular interval, there is a second track where trains can stop and let the other train pass. Ideally at a station, because each train has to stop there anyway. Both the track and the train schedule are optimized so that trains don't have to wait for each other for long. Most regional train lines in Japan (and I bet many other countries) work like this.

@JMarieCAlove4 жыл бұрын
IvanHunglin Sheltered in place?! I’m from California and I have been all over California by car, plane, train and city bus or the Greyhound bus. The bigger cities do have city trains that drives through or around the city or takes you to another state. There’s plenty of ways to see a city without using a car. There’s people who live in Orange County in Southern California and take the city train to downtown L.A. to get to work and back or just use the train to go sightseeing several counties away. There’s plenty of ways to get around California, because we’re not so sheltered.

It's hard for me to image a 19th century modernization Asia country whose tiny train through those thicket rise buildings. In China, it's hardly for train to get close to any buildings expect the station, the most common scenery is either farmland with remote factory or lasting tunnel with bad signal.
