4K Japan Walk - Shosanbetsu shopping street in Hokkaido - Aug 2024

This time, I walked around the shopping street in Shosanbetsu village, Hokkaido, Japan.
Shosanbetsu village is a small village with a population of about 1,000 people located about 200km north of Sapporo towards Wakkanai.
Slightly north of the center is Misakidai Park, where there is a roadside station, accommodation, a campsite, and an observatory.
This observatory is certified as the northernmost observatory in Japan, and you can enjoy a beautiful night sky there.
The shopping district is along National Route 232, but the only shops open are restaurants and convenience stores.
About 20 minutes south by car is Haboro town, so residents probably shop there.
I think it's a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some quiet time in nature, gazing at the sea and the night sky.

おお〜、初山別のセイコーマート！素通りしてたが、今度寄って見るべ。人口が少ない所だったが、村民の要望もあったのかな？セイコーマートの英断は称賛に値すると思いました😊。それにしても、スゴい良い天気ですね！こんな青い空を見られる道民の方達が、羨ましいです😌👍。

流石に人口1,000人では日中はひとの出入りが無さそうですね。なつの日本海側は穏やかで過ごし易いですがその分冬場が厳しく大変かと思われますが住めば都北海道寒くて嫌だと言う人が多々居りますが冬が有るからこそ北海道‼️高校野球も終わり来週で夏休みも終わり九月が目の前に見えて来るので後ふた踏ん張り？頑張って夏をやり過ごさなければ、其れにしてもいつまで経っても北海道🥵ですね。
