[4K] POV Nürburgring GP Track on a BMW R1250GS

Doing some motorcycle coaching with my buddy Tim on his super-sexy Panigale V4S. Rode the daily because at 30C it was a bit warm for my '93 Daytona.
Bike: 2019 BMW R 1250 GS with optional ESA (set to MAX) in Dynamic Plus mode with TCS off. Tyres, 4000km-old Continental Trail Attack 3

I'm sure the most humiliating thing was waiting in pitlane next to a fat guy in 15-year-old leathers, sitting on his GS with luggage. They were probably relieved to get away from me ;)

I'll never regret buying my 2023 R1250 GS Triple black. Akrapovic pipe and everything but heated seats. It would be nice if it had the adaptive version of cruise control, but that's kind of like making it a 2 wheel lounge. I prefer to actually ride it and I use the clutch always instead of the quick-shift - just old habits I can't break ...

Great to see. It isn’t the bike. It’s all about the rider! A bit humiliating for sportbike riders😂. Meening that they should be doing this more often. Otherwise the bike potential isn’t used👊🏾

Why not? It has the power, the ground clearance and suspension maybe 90% capable compared to more track focased machines....so then having 40% more rider talent than others on better bikes? He was always going to eat their lunch

Unless it is just a straightline top speed run or a drag race maybe, you cant just buy dominance off the showroom floor that involves raw talent, practice, and setup

I own a GS 1250, Such a great all round bike. Sit in comfort on the cruise control mile munching or ride it like a sports bike in the twisties.
