They were all Karmann. Every single cabriolet made had the Karmann badge, because VW had the Cabriolet production happen in the Karmann factory.

all volkswagen/porsche convertibles badged cabriolet/cabrio were sent to the Karman factory to get top chopped and roll bars installed etc. they all have karman badges on them

🤣 oh man the American trying to make his cabriolet worth thousands more by telling everyone it’s a “Karmann series” 🤣 Karmann have been VW’s coach builder for convertible cars since the very 1st beetle cabriolet in the 1950’s, the Golf cabriolets were ALL built in Osnabruck on the same production line at the Karmann factory Hence why the cars all wear the Karmann badge, beetle, Ghia and golf idle needs turning down a few notches on this one as well 🤣
