I have an 03. The best year of the Rx300 range. This car is so smooth, I almost fell asleep and I wasn't even on the freeway.

I have an ‘02 RX300 that looks exactly like this one. Bought it new in January 2002, which means I’ve had it for close to 22 years. It has 245k miles, and it still runs great. I hope to keep it for another 200k miles as I have no desire to buy another car, which means car payments, which can get very boring. I would have no problem buying a high mileage, used Lexus as long as it was never in an accident and reasonably well maintained.

How much was it back then? And monthly for the car
@oldmike723912 күн бұрын
@ I’ve had the car for 22 years and the memory’s a little fuzzy, but I think it was between $30,000 - $32,000. The dealer tried to nickel dime me on admin costs, dealer add ons, prep, etc., but there was a Volvo dealer next door and during a lunch break we took one for a test drive. When we came back we told the Lexus dealer about taking a Volvo test drive and the extra charges immediately went away. We didn’t tell him we thought the Volvo was a piece of junk. We now have over 255k miles on the Lexus and it still runs great. I hope, and trying, to keep this car as our last car. We’re in our 80’s and new ones are well over $55,000 - $60,000. Not a good choice for our age.

@ yeah well I'm 19 years old and I can nearly even think about affording a new one but the 1999-2003 models are exactly what I plan to get I mean they're at most like $4k now for a used so I'm gonna try to get one next month but yeah I understand that's awesome that you've guys have had for so long I'm Sure it will last a long time they're well made probably not even as a good as one is now

Abs, is most likely an abs sensor, they are known for that. however it can also be abs module, they are also known for that as well...

What are the maintenance costs for this make and model though? Is it more expensive because it is a Lexus?

I wouldn't. Price seems high for those miles even in this type of economy
