4K Scenic Drive | Lake Hawea to Haast, New Zealand

The drive starts at Lake Hawea near Wanaka, a tourist hub on the south island of New Zealand, and heads to Haast, a small town on the west coast through State Highway 6.

Excellent video. This really captures the change in climate and scenery between the rain shadowed Central Otago district (Wanaka/Queenstown) and the West (aka 'Wet') Coast, with its temperate rainforest. The Wet Coast is only going to get wetter due to warming temperatures in the Tasman Sea.
