I don't think I've ever skiied at Saas-Fee under such conditions, great snow cover where the whole resort was open.

That was fun. Those long stretches in the powder off trail had me wanting to explore every hill and dip. On that first off trail there was what looked like a cave or tunnel. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get you to take a peek. What was it?

The whole top part is a huge glacier and what looked like a cave or tunnel is most likely a crevasse. The reason they tend to close that part is due to people falling into them. Those who tour to the peak (over 4000m) should have mountain gear, like ropes, on them. This is a great resort, especially late season. I have a couple more videos I'll do from that day but some other time.

BTW, you can ski this resort all year (i.e. during the summer) in that top part on the glacier.

So, what did you think? I was there a couple of years ago with my wife, in not the best of conditions. She decided to wait for me in the restaurant halfway upon the mountain. I just couldn't get enough of the dry snow up there. Tough breathing though!

Same here, once I'm out of the metro and walk up the stairs, I'm all out of breath. The air is thin up there, however, the snow is ideal. I'm usually there for end of season and with the magic pass, it doesn't cost me anything (extra). I have a friend who wants to tour to the peak (over 4000m) with me but I'm not sure how I'll cope with breathing. I will try but think I will have to go slow.
