What was the time on the video? This run has it's steep parts and the mid section can be icy at times...

I've seen them at other resorts in your videos, but no more so than this place. All those multiple cuts in the snow that look like terraces done, I presume, by groomers. Is that for avalanche protection or digging up snow to dump on the trails?

At other resorts it's normally digging up snow to dump on the trails. At this one, I'm not really sure. As it's on a large glacier, I can only guess it has to do with glacier maintenance, like preventing or filling crevasses. There is no shortage of snow as you can ski there all year round. Also, it seems to be done by a digger (not groomer) as you can see at 06:00

@@maximilianblank this channel really isn't about my skiing, as you can't even see me... it's more about the resorts... I don't ski in straight line, I do go from side to side but the image stabilisation takes some of it out... however, I prefer that so the video shows a smoother run...
