Great runs. So happy you are keeping the sport alive through the summer. If you ever get the urge to publish a book on using that GoPro 11 to produce, edit, and show your skiing adventures, ke3ep me in mind.

Thanks Barry, just posting every Sunday for now until we get closer to ski season, although posting shorts more frequently. The GoPro plays one part. Once filmed, I need to extract the GPS data and add the telemetry guages. Draw maps and finally use the editing software to animate the maps and stitch everything together...

Apart from the last run, they all looked quite mellow. BTW, next season IF you're at Passo Tanale via geometry lessons the glacier red run [41] is a 24 gradient, and the black run [37] is 25 to 28 gradient, and if you go off pieste from 3000 meters to the trees it is 28 gradient all the way down 2,263 meters. Enjoy.

Yes, the central skiing part of Thyon is mainly blue so good for beginners, especially late season when the snow is soft and slower. The last run was black. I'm not familiar with Passo Tanale but thanks for the tip and I'll keep it in mind as I'll be skiing more of Italy this coming season.

Beautiful as ever! So, by now you must have a favorite (or maybe more) ski area in the Alps. And if you could live anywhere in the Alps year-round, where would you go? (Asking for a friend)

We should get together next winter. I can show you around Les Portes du Soleil a little bit and I'd love to do one of those yellow pistes in Verbier with you as a guide.

It's kind of hard to pick any one ski area as a favourite as I do like variety and change, so hopping from resort to resort, ski area to ski area is fun and there are so many to choose from in the Alps, as you would know. I've spent a lot of time in Martigny (Combe), which is quite convenient to access some of the best resorts in Switzerland and France while the view of the Rhône Valley is stunning... The problem with the Valais canton is that it's difficult for non-residents to buy property (but not impossible). I think somewhere in Valais is where I'd choose to live... :-)

@@bartmulder6995 Sure, lets catch up this coming season... I have the Portes du Soleil and Magic Pass (so far)... If you send an email to chasingsnowtube@gmail.com we can go from there.
