I remember plane spotting at SLC when I was kid. There was a parking lot a long distance from the (old) terminal just for watching the planes. Western was the most frequent, but I liked seeing the less usual ones like Texas International and American.

I have fond memories of that parking lot. My dad worked for America West so I would be sure to catch the 737-200 or 737-300 coming in from PHX. But by far my favorite was watching all those L1011’s come in. SLC at one point was Tristar Heaven!

Hello SLC..😂I’m here in Utah, I did enjoy plane spotting with my phone while waiting for my plane at gate and after arrival..I always stand at terminal recording the planes! Good memories!

Yes, this video was filmed at the northwestern end of the airport’s parking garage. it’s a great spot, but as you can see there are a lot of light poles between you and the runway. You also have to pay for hourly parking. Another spot if you’re interested is located at the end of Runway 34L. The address is 52 Tommy Thompson Road, and it is in a hotel parking lot. The last few videos I have uploaded were filmed at this spot, and it is personally my favourite. Let me know if you have any more questions!

They are spraying aircraft anti-icing fluid, which, as the name implies, removes ice and frost from the surface of the aircraft. This also prevents ice from forming on the aircraft's instruments after takeoff. Thanks for watching!
