We walked this very route about two weeks ago! We stayed at the Golden Lion. What a magnificent city Stirling is - we're already planning our next trip to Scotland!

Stirling's historic centre deserves to be rated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site yet in the 1980s the council wanted to futurise it. The Royal Burgh's history is layered. There is Celtic & Roman Stirling, Dark Age Stirling, Early Medieval Stirling and Stirling of the High Middle Ages. What other small city in Britain is clustered with so many iconic names from King Robert the Bruce to John Knox giant of the Reformation ?

I am after watching this video. Scotland is a wee country , not muckle at all. I'd like to stay in Scotland. I am wanting to be Scottish. In Scotland you have beautiful kirks , snibs , rakes , and castles. How not ? I have a jotter.

Stunning place with such rich history, As I watch and listen It makes me think of what good shape your in. If it was me you would hear heavy breathing and possibly gasping at the elevation, these May be odd things to notice but I've never seen any type of water hydrant for municipal fire fighting, Also thank you for the short pauses near the signs explaing your location so when I see things Of interest I can ask the Google's for more information, Please take care and have a blessed day.

There is a little heavy breathing occasionally 😆 but thank you anyway 👍🏻 we don’t have free standing hydrants like yours in the US, ours are covered by manhole covers on the street. If you are interested in the landscapes i'd recommend checking out loch Lomond and 100% Glenn Coe, the cities in Scotland aren't incredibly impressive compared to our nature.

The Isle of Arran is also beautiful if you are into your nature although I'd plan ahead for these places so you can get the best experience and see the hidden gems

Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes is the answer 😆 lots of bars & great restaurants (Brea) being one of the best ones in the city centre 👍🏻 the Albert Halls have live music performances nearly every week, as does the Tolbooth, which showcases poetry nights, plays, live performances etc 🙂
