Just found your channel and subscribed. Amazing video, beautiful scenery. Although a rail fan, American trains are favourite since visiting years ago. That’s what you call a railway. Rain snow or shine they keep on going. Not here in the U.K. every thing grinds to a halt in a bit of adverse weather. Pathetic really. All the best. 🇬🇧Mick

Hi, will be visiting Cajon this May and was wondering where best to park and walk to the location between the UP and BNSF tracks by the silver shed that is featured from 24:27 to 41:00 in the video.
@RRphotographer6615 жыл бұрын
So in 24:27 it would be a bit of a hike to get to that spot however if you wish to do so park down in the Cajon junction. And then for 41:00 that shot was taken 40 yds from sworthout canyon road on the UP line

Thanks for the great video - I was lucky enough to visit Cajon Pass from Australia a few years back. But seeing I only had a car rental I didn't get to all of your locations and I certainly didn't have a drone. One question I have is about the BNSF UP combination at 1:23:39 - I've never seen that combo and so it's a great catch and I wonder if these two competitors help each other out from time to time?
@RRphotographer6615 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support! And to answer your question that kind of latch up does happen from time to time.

I notice that these Cajon Pass trains tend not to run at night (after 9pm Local Time). Does this observation match up with actual train schedules? Does anyone know for sure?
@kenmunozatmmrrailroad68535 жыл бұрын
g g. I live near the Cajon Pass and commute it’s adjoining freeway frequently. I’ve never not seen a train in the corridor day or night. Extremely busy. A must see for railfanners!
@SrGary10005 жыл бұрын
@@kenmunozatmmrrailroad6853 Thank you Ken. I record them on a seismometer near the pass. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oprZlpKpqdeYl88channel=UCyWplVN2kB_-ovNqSNUpPkg . The closest point the rail makes to the seismometer is near Keenbrook.

It would make it easier to understand reporting marks if you setup further back. Close shots are impressive but not helpful.
