I just returned home from a visit there. If you ever get the chance, visit this lovely town! The walks are wonderful, and the locals are the friendliest folks you'd ever want to meet. We stayed at Ghan House - a terrific B&B. Stop into the Kingfisher Bistro on Dundalk - Mark and Clare run a top shelf establishment. You won't be sorry.

Dear Peter! During today's walk, I got to know another gem of Ireland. There are no such colors in which houses shine. The pairing of purple and green goes well with each other here. The small lanterns on the street candelabra are special. Unfortunately, the castle is closed, but the impressive view makes up for it. I really felt sorry for the ships that they had to rest on the sandbar. Thank you for this wonderful trip.

My father was born here.. hope to visit in the near future. He's no longer with us but only found out recently where exactly he came from. I've lived in the States for 40 years not knowing what a gem of a p l ace he came from.
