this is what all of America should look like. i do not mean all the fancy stores- i mean no litter/ trash on the ground; areas humans inhabit should be taken care of. if everyone cared enough to clean up areas where they live and frequent, America can be such a more beautiful place.

It's not the clean up thats nice... It's the style of buildings their that look european. The place it all walkable and feels amazing to chill with your friends.... All that makes us want to make sure the place is clean so we can enjoy it forever

I can provide some insider's color comment in case you missed some of the sights: Those people sitting at tables outside of Tiffany's? They're eating breakfast. Not many of them showed up because there isn't any kale on the menu. That odd looking sculpture on the corner? Made entirely of breast implants; LA's move to use a "sustainable" material found everywhere. My favorite shop is Brooks Brothers. Some people think BB is stodgy compared to Armani, but in my opinion Armani is to BB as mickey mouse ears and a T shirt is to white tie. And that Veyron? A prius in makeup (with reallty good lighting). That's the way it is, in the Land O' Hype.

It’s too bad the streets are so wide and the speed limit so high. Spending a day in that area shopping would be stressful due to the loud, speeding traffic. They should turn all the shops inward on all those super blocks, and have quaint paths lined with flowers and cafes, like they did in that one area. But hey, looks like a beautiful December day, not to mention all the fab shops. Can just wear earbuds or headphones.

The most exclusive store on Rodeo is called House of Bijan. Its proprietor died a few years ago and his son has taken over. That place stays locked most of the time; you call, make an appointment and they let you in. If you spend less than $200K during your visit ($200K is chump change to them), they probably won't let you shop there again.
