Are there many items like fruit or vegetables and other foodstuffs more cheaper to buy than the other grocery stores in Honolulu? What about ABC stores in Waikiki? Is this Wal Mart store close to Waikiki? I have not visited there but I will plan to visit Honolulu in October 2024.

ABC stores are very expensive. Each grocery stores are very competitive and Warmart offers some decent deals but they carry very limited items on fruits. Don Quijote is one of the favorite spot for fruits. 🙂

@@HawaiiOnBudget Thanks for the information. I will plan to stay at one of the Waikiki hotels - “Stay Hotel Waikiki” next to Hyatt Regency Hotel - for 5 nights. This small hotel does have refrigerator and microwave in each room. I would buy some foods and fruit for my meals while staying there. That will save my money there. There is no real grocery store in Waikiki itself. Is Don Quijote store close to Waikiki?

Waikiki Market is available, which is about 5 minutes walking distance from Stay hotel. However it is limited on items. Don Quijote is about 2 miles from your hotel and you can catch thebus #2 & 13. You can get cheaper thebus fare tickets from ABC stores and also at 7-11 stores. You can also use thebus pass for the Honolulu Rail Transit, which is something you can try once to get the scenic views of the west part of the island. The Halawa rail station is just across the street from the Aloha Stadium, which has the swap meet operating on Wed & sat & sun. If you are willing to be filmed on my youtube video, I will offer you a ride to Don Quijote on you day of you choice and return also.
